... cold-bloods and sport horses, as well as being a large agricultural business.

In this stud a practice is still maintained which has been stopped in most western studs – the production of their own fodder and the keeping of the horses through profits gained in the areas of cattle breeding and agriculture.

The Slovakian National Stud of Topolcianky is located between the foothills of the low mountain ranges of Inovec and Tribec. A larger agricultural enterprise of 947 ha is connected to the national stud, 758 ha of fields for crops, 51 ha vineyards, and the remainder is pastureland.

Located at a height of 220 to 480 m at the intersection between the Danube plain and the mountains, it offers huge pasture areas for approx. 450 horses and 800 cattle. The stud, which was founded in its present form in 1921, is a mixed breeding institute. In addition to Lipizzaners, Arabs, sport horses (English and Anglo-Arab half-bred) as well as Huzule horses are kept here.
