...whether we are thinking of the rare Altwürttembergers or the elegant sport horses, they all have their homes in this stud with its different outlying estates. The stud is considered to be the oldest state stud in Germany and is first mentioned as far back as 1514. It has also, since recently, got the youngest director and first woman in its history Dr. Astrid von Velsen-Zerweck.
